Just some randomness.
Bandit survived the trip from Texas with my parents. He looks awful! All fur and bones… reminds me so much of my Tom at the end of his life… but without the gaping wound on his side. Once everyone got settled in he was happy just to sit with Mom and get his ears scratched.
What really impressed me was how Jamie (2.5 years old) handled the situation. We told her that Bandit has “owies” in his body and that she had to be really gentle with him. She was so excited to have a cat in the house… but a little timid of touching him at first. We all showed that it was ok to pet him as long as you did it softly. Then we put her and him on the floor and he stumbled around a little trying to figure things out and sniff around. Jamie was right there at his side pointing out where Grandma was so he could find her. When he sat under a chair she crawled under it and lay beside him and talked softly to him. It was so sweet. Made me wish we had a cat of our own.
Lucky me…. started getting a sinus infection last night and around 4am I woke up and had a brilliant idea! Since I had a tooth/sinus infection last month and got antibiotics from the dentist for it I thought “Self, call the dentist this morning! Save the copay of a Dr visit… and still get your root canal done on time next week!” So that’s exactly what I did. As soon as they were open I called and asked for another z-pack. I love the dentist. Weird, I never thought I’d say/type that!
Oh! Good news.. I met my next goal on wii fit early! Down 2.9 pounds this morning! That’s always a great way to start the day! Maybe by Mondy I’ll be down a little more and my weight tracker will have a nice little drop in it… would be nice… we’ll see what really happens!

Poor Bandit. Jamie sounds like she’s gonna be good with animals though.
Sorry about the infections but hey, that was good news on the dentist! Hope you get to feeling better fast!

Oh, I hope the cat is going to be okay. I haven’t read your earlier post yet, not sure what is happening. I have 3 cats I adore and can’t stand when something is wrong.
