I did it! Sort of…
What did I do? I slept! I actually got to bed before 9… and to sleep by 10ish… a VAST improvement over the last week! So I got roughly 7-7.5 hours of sleep instead of 5 or less.
I have come to a conclusion though. I simply cannot continue waiting to eat dinner with my husband on the days he works. I end up eating too much because 7:30pm is a long time to wait to eat from my last snack of the day at 2. *sigh* I went overboard last night which is how I came to this conclusion. Ok, so I started off fine. I had a small snack around 5:30 when I tried to convince my daughter to eat (to no avail). By 6:30 she still hadn’t eaten anything so I tried making her half of a PB&J… she called it icky (on sight only) and I ended up eating it. I don’t know what gets into that child, but there are days when she just wont eat. She’ll never reach the weight requirement to get out of her carseat at this rate. Anyway, so then after Jeff got home and Jamie was in bed we ate… and even that wasn’t so much, but then I wanted something sweet… had way to much and followed it with some cheetos. Darn my night eating habbits!!!! I could just kick myself sometimes. My weight went up a pound. >=0/ So to make up for yesterdays atrocities I had a liquid breakfast (high fiber instant breakfast in skim milk) and then it’s back on track. Tonight I must use some willpower… and eat an apple instead of junk.
The week is young so I still have time to redeem myself! It’s pouring rain outside right now but I’m still toying with the idea of walking… and getting soaked…
glad you got sleep. it is so important to get good sleep hope you can keep that up. As for eating. ehhh I know how you feel I have been right there with ya. Like the sentence.. the week is young.. I need to tell myself that too.. thanks for reminding me..

I finally fell asleep before 11pm.
Can you put in some videos or On demand it if you have cable? Any indoor exercise is better then 0.

Go for a walk in the rain and have fun…..permit yourself to be a kid again and splash through the puddles. Laughing and smiling burns more calories! As for the nighttime eating, I always try to eat lots of fiberous items for dinner…salad and lots of veggies. After I clean the dishes I brush my teeth. There is something about a clean mouth that makes me at least not want to eat.
I would love to go out in the rain, but I can’t look like a slob or a “wet t-shirt” contestant while I’m at work.

This nigh time eating has me flustered… I think it’s boredome eating because most of the time I’m not even hungry! Maybe I should turn this responce into a blog!

I’m with you there; a determined person won’t be thrown by some toothpaste:) I used to eat around 7 but to stay in my calorie range I had to switch my dinner time. If I waited I ate and ate. Good luck to you.
sleep is goooooooood!
I am bad about night time eating too. When I am off, my hubby won’t get in til 7ish. We used to hold dinner for all of us until he came in but I found out the same thing you did. By the time he came in we had already eaten chips & who knows what else. So we dont wait for him anymore. We make him a plate and put it in the microwave. It makes for a better schedule for the kids too.
I still catch myself nibbling on something at night sometimes but tomorrow is always a new day.
